I Don't Believe In 'One Fit Fits All'
And I'll prove it with this week's big announcement!

This has been one of those weeks where you blink and it’s gone. I’ve had a lot on my plate—our youngest was home sick for a bit, and I’ve just started a new consulting project with a former client, helping develop a brand strategy.
In between that, I’ve also been busy behind the scenes, working on a few things I’m really excited to share in this week’s newsletter. So, let’s get into it.
But just a heads up: This is one of those where my own brand is front and centre. I know this isn’t the Weirloom newsletter, but I think you’ll like this!
PRE-ORDER NOW: Slim and Loose Fit Weirloom Jeans
When I launched the brand back in April, I started with one fit: a regular straight. It’s the fit I wear, but it’s also the baseline cut of jeans, the fit everything evolves from.
And I’m not the only one who likes it. The Weirloom Regular fit has gotten a lot of positive feedback. Grant called it “the best-fitting pair of jeans he’s ever owned,” and Matt—who runs the Rope Dye YouTube channel—was genuinely impressed.
Still, I’m not under the illusion that there’s one fit that fits all. People have different body types and preferences. Some want more room; others want something slimmer. That’s why I’m introducing two new fits:
The Slim fit has the same top block and rise as the Regular WL#1 (and the WL-001), but the leg has a slight taper.
It’s not skinny—just a cleaner silhouette for those who prefer that.
The Loose fit is essentially a scaled-up version of the Regular fit.
It’s roomier all over, with a higher rise and a straight leg that’s cut slightly shorter, which I think works better for a looser fit.

Both are made from the same 14.25 oz. Candiani selvedge denim as the original, and cut and sewn in Portugal. They share the same details too—including the new leather patch, branded YKK hardware, and woven label.
The new Slim and Loose fits are available now on pre-order at 25% off the stock price until the pre-order window closes.
Production starts right after New Year’s, and delivery is expected in early February.
I’ve booked production capacity for 100 pairs in total across the two new fits—the final split depends on what you pre-order. But once they’re gone, that’s it until the next batch.
How My Pre-Orders Work (and Why They Make Sense)
I launched the first Weirloom jeans on pre-order—and the approach still makes sense. I’m bootstrapping this brand, which means I don’t keep big piles of stock. Pre-orders also help me gauge demand and fund production responsibly.
As a thank-you, you get 25% off the stock price for supporting early. There’s no risk—you can cancel anytime before I ship, and my standard return and refund policy applies.
If you already have a pair of Weirloom jeans, order the same size. If you’re new or unsure, check the size chart or reach out—I’ll help you find your size.
Want Some Jeans Now? Then Get the Regular Fit
If you don’t want to wait until February, the Regular Fit—the original—is available and shipping now, and the WL#1 has all the new features.
If you’d like to read a bit more before you order, I’ve just published a blog post about the WL#1 that you can read here.
LAST CALL: Indigo Invitational Y5 Submissions
If you’re competing in Year 5 of the Indigo Invitational, this is your final reminder to get your Month 2 update in.
I’m competing in a pair of Weirlooms (obviously), and after two months, they look like this:
The submission form is working again after some technical issues the other day, and you’ve got until tomorrow (Saturday, November 8th at 23:59 Tokyo Time) to send in your progress.
Time For Some New Boots?
It’s that time of year where you realise you really need some proper boots—to weather, well, the weather.
Here are some great ones that’re just dropping, or will soon:
White’s x Division Road CXL Loggers
Division Road is revisiting one of its most iconic collaborations this week—the White’s CXL Logger 350. The original black version was one of their earliest and most popular collabs, and now it’s back alongside a new Brown CXL iteration.
Both pairs follow White’s old-school build philosophy: rugged, heritage-grade boots that work just as well on the street as they do off it.
The black CXL Logger is the tried-and-true standard; the brown one adds a warmer, more versatile tone but keeps the same balance of refinement and toughness.
John Lofgren SS26 Pre-Orders
Franklin & Poe has opened pre-orders for John Lofgren Bootmaker’s SS26 collection.
It brings back some JLB icons, reworks a few favourites, and introduces new silhouettes—most notably the N-1 Boot, Lofgren’s elevated take on the classic Boondocker.

This season also highlights Horween’s Waxed Flesh leather, used on the El Capitan and the Donkey Puncher—two models that combine sharp design with proper workwear grit.
Thanks for reading—and for being part of this. See you next week.
Best,
Thomas
