A Big Milestone and a Well-Earned Break
First drop shipped. Summer break starts. New Flat Head profile live.
What is up, denim people?!
Today marks a huge milestone for me and for Weirloom. Because I’ve shipped out all orders today!! 📦🥳
I announced this project back in April with a promise that orders would ship in the last week of June. And I’ve now kept that promise!
It’s crazy to think that the very first jeans I’ve designed and produced are now heading out into the world, on their way to everyone who’s pre-ordered 🍾
The First Fits Are In
Seeing the jeans in all sizes lined up together was honestly a special moment—and even better, Wednesday evening, I drove around and hand-delivered a dozen pairs locally here in the Copenhagen area.
That gave me the chance to see the jeans worn by others for the first time—which has been amazing.

Later today, we’ll be photographing a handful of early wearers to show how the WL-001 fit across different body types and sizes.
You’ve seen how the 31s fit me—but what about a 34 or 36? That’s what we’re capturing, and I’ll be sharing those soon.
Next: Something Raw …
If you missed the ‘First Edition’—or you were holding off because of fit questions or because you prefer raw over one-wash—good news: the ‘Second Edition’ is already in the works and will be ready before September 1 (just in time for the next Indigo Invitational).
It’ll be made from the same fabric and have the same details, just unwashed this time. So if you want to break them in from scratch, this next run will be for you.

I kept one pair of the ‘First Edition’ unwashed—at the request of Ruedi Karrer, who picked up that pair.
A perfect opportunity to see how the unwashed compares to the one-washed. More photos and details soon …
A Note on Current Stock and Summer Plans
There are still a few pairs of the ‘First Edition’ available on the Weirloom website. Just a heads-up: I’ll be out of the office from July 4 to 27, and I won’t be able to ship any new orders during that time.
But I guess most of us will be living in shorts through July anyway 😅
I’m in dialogue with fulfilment partners to streamline shipping and returns for the future. But for this first round (and probably for the second too), it’s been important for me to check every pair myself before sending them out.
A Quick Stop in Berlin
Last weekend, I was in Berlin for the Union trade show. I got to hang out with Bryan and my ex-business partner (and good friend), Matt Wilson—who you might know from his CeeAreDee YouTube.
Between the brews, I caught up with some of the brands and retailers we’ve featured on Denimhunters over the years—like Franklin & Poe, Iron Heart, Heimat, Tellason, and many more.
It’s always good to reconnect in person and to get a sneak peek at what they’ve got coming for next season. I also had the chance to meet some of the new names making waves—like Omoto, who are definitely ones to watch.

Bryan Profiles The Flat Head
Speaking of Bryan, while we were both in Berlin, I published his latest article on the blog. He’s been digging deep into one of Japan’s most iconic denim labels, and his new profile of The Flat Head is packed with insights—plus a close-up of the 3004, their signature cut.
Thanks again for following along—whether you’ve got Weirlooms heading your way or you’re (still) just enjoying the journey from the sidelines.
All the best,
Thomas
