Here’s How My Weirloom Jeans Fit
This latest prototype is 99.9% final (and already moulding to me).
This week, I’ve shared something a lot of you might have been waiting for:
fit pictures of the jeans I’m launching!

Here’s the ‘First Edition’ Weirloom jeans—on me
And even though I’ve only worn this pair for a handful of days, you can already see how the denim is starting to mould to my legs.
Give it a few more weeks and the fades would also start to appear (like they’ve done in the earlier prototype below, which I’ve worn for about 6 weeks):

This denim can fade!
A Quick Recap …
I launched Weirloom a couple of weeks ago. It’s something I’ve dreamt about doing for years, and I’m starting small.
The first release is limited to 100 pairs, made in Portugal from Italian selvedge denim (woven by Candiani, one of the best mills out there). They’re available on pre-order only, and shipping is planned for the end of June.
I’ve written more about why I’m launching a brand and doing it this way in this blog post, plus I’ve answered some of the most common questions in this FAQ post.
How They Fit
This is my take on the classic mid-rise straight-leg fit—simple, wearable, and designed to be your everyday go-to.
They’re washed once after sewing, so you won’t need to break them in like cardboard. But they’ll still fade beautifully over time.
You can see more photos of how they fit and full measurements for the size 31 prototype on the product page.

Looking good, right (oh, the shirt’s faded nicely too—it’s my old LVC 1955 sawtooth)
The jeans you’re seeing here are the latest iteration of the fit—99.9% final.
The only thing that still needs a little adjustment is the thigh, which will be trimmed down just 1 cm in the final production compared to the one I’m wearing (the measurements I’ve shared on the product page are the final ones).
Weirloom in the Wild
It’s still early days, but word is getting out. A few kind folks have already featured the brand, including:
Long John, who ran the story on his blog
Japanalogue offered a thoughtful take on his Instagram
Bryan from the Indigo Invitational shared it across his platforms
Kohyo from @amekajihead posted a Story about it
So did my man Grant from the Arcuate (who also placed a pre-order! 🥹)
And my very good friend Ruedi, aka @swissjeansfreak, shared it on his feed too (who’s also put a pre-order in) 🫶
Any and all mentions of Weirloom are deeply appreciated. Don’t forget to tag both @denimhunters and @weirloom.
If you haven’t checked out Weirloom yet, I’d love for you to take a look.
And if you have questions—about sizing, fit, or anything else—you can always just reply to my emails.
Thanks again for following along! Have a great weekend 😎
Best,
Thomas
