How to Shop "Right", Teasing a Giveaway, and 6 Denim Deals & Drops
Avoid bad buys, win +$1,000 worth of premium menswear, and shop this week’s standout denim
Greetings from the slopes in Trysil 🇳🇴⛷️ It’s our last day here and tomorrow morning we’ll be back on the road going home to Denmark.
We’re a family of planners, and a recurring topic in the lifts is where next year’s trip will be like. (I know, be in the moment—and I am and have been enjoying it here!)
Before we had kids, we went skiing in the Alps, mostly in Val Gardena in Italy. The sun, the food, the pristinely maintained slopes. Not so much the 1,300-km drive to get there.
After a good handful of years in Norway, where both our kids have learned to ski (not least thanks to the excellent ski schools up here), I think we’ll return to Italy next year—I’ve already started planning that trip 😂
Enough about skiing, here’s this week’s newsletter:

This Week’s Deals & Drops - Denim Edition
Continuing the new Deals & Drops series, I’ve found 3 denim deals and 3 new drops of jeans for you. If you’ve got any suggestions, just hit reply on this email.
Studio D’Artisan’s Rain series blends Japanese textile tradition with selvedge denim, using 14 oz. unsanforized slubby selvedge woven with "Ame Gasuri" threads to create a rain-like kasuri pattern.
The tapered fit keeps things sharp, while details like engraved copper rivets, herringbone pocket bags, and a Rain Kasuri leather patch complete the look.
Only sizes 28-31 are still available, making this a rare pickup for those who want something both traditional and unique.
Benzak and Division Road have teamed up for a fresh take on the 711 High Tapered, using 14 oz. Japanese selvedge denim with a black warp and ecru weft.
The result is a deep, textured fabric that will develop high-contrast fades with wear. A high rise and strong taper make this a great option for those who like room up top with a sharper leg profile.

Details like chain-stitched hems, hidden rivets, and a custom veg-tan leather patch round out the package. This small-batch release will not be around forever, and sizing is already running low.
To mark the 150th anniversary of the rivet patent, TCB took a different path—recreating a rare pair of non-riveted jeans from the late 1870s to early 1880s.
Inspired by Viktor Fredbäck’s discovery of an antique pair, these jeans feature dart-reinforced pockets, hand-sewn buttonholes, a cinch-back adjuster, and a distinctive pocket arch shape. Made from 9 oz. Japanese selvedge denim, the fabric mimics the irregular threads of early workwear denim.
Most sizes have already sold out, with only 36 and 38 still available. If you’ve been after a true heritage-style fit, now’s the time to grab them.
Back in stock after nearly four years, the 555-SST is Iron Heart’s first—and so far, only—stretch denim. While I’m personally not the biggest fan of stretch (no judgment if you are), it makes a lot of sense in their slimmest fit.
The 21 oz. selvedge is already a beast, and that bit of flex makes these far more wearable without sacrificing the fades.
Restocks on these are rare, and sizes won’t last long. If you’ve been waiting for a heavyweight stretch denim option, now’s the time.
Railcar’s new X117 denim is something special. This 17.5 oz. selvedge features an indigo warp with a maroon weft and a matching maroon selvedge ID, creating a deep, warm-toned contrast that will evolve beautifully with wear. The heavyweight fabric is tough but woven for a smoother break-in than you might expect.
Available in the Spikes, Rebels, and Type 2, this release covers both jeans and a jacket, all cut and sewn in-house by Railcar. Stocks are limited, so don’t wait too long.
Gustin takes a unique approach with this selvedge herringbone denim, blending classic workwear texture with raw denim character. The distinct herringbone weave gives the fabric a subtle yet eye-catching pattern that will develop rich fades over time. At 12.5 oz., it offers a solid balance of durability and comfort right from the start.
This is not something you see every day in the world of selvedge denim. If you are after a pair that stands out in both weave and wear, this is one worth considering.
