What is up denim people?!? It’s Friday again, and what a glorious one it is. We’re having some full-on Indian Summer weather here in Denmark and I can’t wait to get out and soak it all in!

In this week’s newsletter, I’ll talk about a (relatively) new gender-fluid selvedge brand, share some heavy news from SOSO, and rave (some more) about Iron Heart!

Meet the Gender-Fluid Selvedge Brand Trying To Bring Heritage Denim into the 21st Century

Handz Jeans isn’t your ordinary new selvedge denim brand. It’s a fresh breath of air in a scene that can get a bit dusty.

The brand is co-founded by my good friend and fellow denim consultant, Tilmann Wröbel, and I guess I first learned about it a couple years ago around the time it was launched.

As a partner of the Indigo Invitational for Year 4, Handz Jeans asked us to share their story with our audience (that you). In this brand profile, Bryan dives deep into the background of Handz together with Tilmann.

Their groundbreaking gender-fluid cuts are the product of more than 60 years of industry experience. Using some pattern-making magic, they’re aiming to make selvedge more accessible for all genders.

SOSO is Discontinueing the 25 oz. Black UBS Selvedge With a Big Discount!

The SOSO Brothers are down to their last roll of the Ultimate Black Selvedge. There won’t be any more, so they’re saying goodbye to the super heavyweight with a very deep end-of-the-roll discount.

Until it’s all gone, they’ve marked the price for UBS jeans or jackets are discounted to just $199.

It’s a great opportunity to get into a black superheavyweight made from Australian cotton for not a lot of dough.

Iron Heart Party in Gosport!

This weekend, I’ll be joining the rest of the Iron Heart Army for the brand’s annual party.

This time back in Gosport in the UK, following last year’s 21st-anniversary party at the Iron Heart Germany store in Hamburg—where we launched the IHxSJF collab jeans that both Ruedi, Bryan and I wear in this year’s Indigo Invitational!

It’ll be great to catch up with Alex and his team, shake hands with Haraki-san, and meet all the other denim devotees, including (of course) Ruedi and Bryan. How’s that for a photo op for an update on our IHxSJF jeans?!

I’ll be travelling with team Brund, although, very sadly, both Henrik and Peter had to cancel last minute 😭 Alex told us Mikkel and I have to eat and drink for two each, so if you see some weird sh*t on Instagram this weekend, well, you’ve been warned 🥴
